Laurus nobilis is an aromatic evergreen tree or large shrub with green, glossy leaves, native to the Mediterranean region. It is known as bay laurel (esp. United Kingdom), Greek laurel or simply laurel tree. Laurus nobilis figures prominently in classical Greek, Roman, and Biblical culture.
USES: In massage therapy, the essential oil of laurel tree is reputed to alleviate arthritis and rheumatism. In aromatherapy, it is known to offer symptoms treatments caused by ear aches and high blood pressure.
Suggested Use: Dilute 2 to 4 drops in 1 fluid ounce of water or other liquid and mix, for topical or total body massage therapy or aromatherapy.
